INTRODUCTION:

Join other 21st Century Community Learning centers, School Districts, YMCA's, and Boys and Girls' Clubs in their efforts in bringing ARTS ATACK, a quality afterschool arts porgram, to their sites.

The ARTS ATTACK program is used in these settings with amazing results ! Empower your teachers, facilitators and volunteers to teach this user-friendly, comprehensive program that anyone can teach. We work with charter, district-run, independent and non-traditional schools to improve their afterschool arts programs.

ARTS ATTACK Publications is committed to advancing meaningful arts education both during the regular school  day AND beyond school hours !

THE CHALLENGE:

Today, more that 28 million school-age children have parents who workoutside the home, and as many as 15 million “latch-key children” return to empy homes after school.  Serious juvenile crime tends to peak in the hours between 3pm and 6pm demonstrate the need for effective after-school programs.

Engagement in the arts nurtures the development of cognitive, social and personal competencies. Arts programs can increase academic achievement, help decrease youth involvement in delinquent behavior and improve youth attitudes about themselves and the future.

While many types of after-school programs provide important access to children’s learning and social development, those that include the arts add a special dimension. For example, extra time allowed for afterschool arts instruction give students more satisfactory opportunities for self-expression or development of their abilities in one or more art forms.

Concern for children’s safety and need for extended learning beyond school hours has created an explosion in high quality afterschool programming.

BE PART OF THE SOLUTION:

Arts Attack Publications provides a comprehensive, DVD-based approach to arts education. The program is extremely user-friendly and can be taught by those with little or no art background.

The erosion of quality arts education in the regular school day has resulted in the blossoming of art activities in informal educational settings: afterschool and in extended day programs.

Be part of the growing groups of professional practictioners devoted to the well-being of all children and youth, especially to those who have limited access to quality, life changing arts learning experiences!!
